The Center for Teaching and Learning provides support for instructors interested in developing hybrid and online courses, and for faculty already teaching online or hybrid courses in the following ways:
- The CTL runs semester-length seminars on online and hybrid instruction for faculty.
- CTL staff members can provide small group workshops or meet with faculty one-on-one to discuss and demonstrate specific educational technology software and pedagogical strategies for online and hybrid learning.
- The CTL works closely with the Baruch Computing and Technolog Center (BCTC) to provide audio and visual support for recording lectures to be used in online and hybrid courses.
The Center for Teaching and Learning also sponsors, or co-sponsors with other units at the college, programs and initiatives to support inquiry into teaching and learning. These range from ongoing educational technology projects (like Blogs@Baruch and VOCAT), to the CTL Faculty Fellows program, to initiatives designed specifically for students.
If you are interested in developing an online or hybrid course, scheduling a session with CTL staff, or collaborating with the CTL on a project, please let us know!
